Touch of Yellow

Skyline Drive, Shenandoah National Park, Virginia

Limited Edition of 50

This gnarly tree sits only about 40 feet of the side of Skyline Drive and I have driven past in hundreds of times in all the years I've been visiting Shenandoah National Park. While I've always been intrigued with the tree, I never stopped to photograph it before until I saw it on this foggy day in late October. The bare branches in combination with the heavy fog made the tree look mysterious and stately, but it was the parade of yellow leaves adorning the tree that ultimatly inspired me to spend a good deal of time crafting a composition that captured the beauty of this single tree.
