This image was made in the badlands country near the Yellowstone River in eastern Montana, just as twilight began to settle over the land. The soft glow of post-sunset light painted the clay hills in shades of lavender and rose, revealing the rhythmic folds and textures carved by centuries of wind and rain.
I remember the stillness that evening — the wind had dropped, and only the faint call of meadowlarks echoed across the canyons. It was one of those moments where the vastness of the plains met the intimacy of detail, where light transformed an austere landscape into something almost tender.
Evening Calm reflects my ongoing fascination with the subtle moods of the prairie and badlands — places that change not by the hour but by the breath of light. It’s a meditation on solitude, quiet transformation, and the enduring presence of natural form.
Each limited-edition print is created using museum-grade archival pigment inks on fine cotton rag paper, ensuring the highest fidelity and permanence. For collectors looking for the finest presentation of my landscape photography, LumaChrome TruLife® Acrylic Prints represent the highest level of quality and craftsmanship I offer. These exceptional prints bring my images to life with remarkable depth, extraordinary detail, and rich, luminous color that simply cannot be fully appreciated on a computer screen.
Each piece is individually handcrafted in the USA using LumaChrome Iridium Transparency Film, carefully encapsulated between a crystal-clear acrylic backing and museum-grade TruLife® acrylic glass. This specialized printing process produces an incredible sense of depth and dimensionality, giving the photograph an almost three-dimensional appearance. The TruLife® acrylic surface is also scratch-resistant and anti-reflective, allowing the finest details, subtle tonal transitions, and natural colors of the landscape to shine through with exceptional clarity.
What truly sets these prints apart is the way they interact with light. When properly illuminated, light travels through the acrylic layers, creating a beautiful sense of luminosity that makes the image appear almost backlit. Shadows retain remarkable detail, colors take on a natural radiance, and the entire photograph seems to glow from within. The result is a viewing experience that is difficult to replicate with traditional photographic printing methods.
Every LumaChrome TruLife® Acrylic Fine Art Print is handcrafted in the USA and backed by a lifetime guarantee.

For collectors who appreciate vibrant color, exceptional detail, and a clean, contemporary presentation, ChromaLuxe Fine Art Metal Prints are one of my favorite ways to showcase landscape photography. These prints offer an incredible combination of visual quality, durability, and versatility, making them an excellent choice for displaying fine art photography in your home, office, or commercial space.
Unlike traditional photographic prints, ChromaLuxe images are produced using an advanced dye-sublimation process that infuses the image directly into a specially formulated polymer coating on a lightweight aluminum panel. Rather than sitting on the surface, the dyes become part of the coating itself, producing exceptionally sharp details, rich colors, beautiful tonal transitions, and a remarkable sense of depth.
One of the qualities I appreciate most about ChromaLuxe is the way it reproduces the natural colors and intricate details of the landscape. From the delicate textures of an autumn forest to the warm glow of sunlight illuminating distant mountain peaks, these prints bring out the subtle relationships between light, color, and contrast that are so important to my photography. The result is a photograph with tremendous visual impact that still maintains the natural character of the original scene.
ChromaLuxe Fine Art Metal Prints combine the beauty of fine art photography with modern printing technology, creating stunning, ready-to-display artwork built for lasting enjoyment.

For collectors who appreciate the timeless beauty of traditional photographic prints, my Archival Fine Art Prints offer an exceptional combination of image quality, longevity, and versatility. Printed using museum-quality materials and professional archival pigment inks, these photographs are designed to reproduce the natural beauty of the landscape with remarkable detail, accurate color, and beautiful tonal transitions.
There is something special about seeing a photograph printed on fine art paper. The subtle textures, delicate highlights, and rich shadow details create a viewing experience that feels both natural and refined. Unlike the more luminous presentation of acrylic or metal, traditional fine art prints offer a softer, more understated appearance that allows the composition, light, and atmosphere of the photograph to take center stage.
Every image I create is carefully prepared for printing, with particular attention given to color accuracy, contrast, sharpness, and the subtle tonal relationships that define the original scene. Whether it's the soft glow of morning light filtering through an autumn forest, the intricate textures of a desert landscape, or the delicate transitions of color in a mountain scene, my goal is to reproduce the photograph as faithfully as possible while preserving the mood and character that inspired me to capture it.
My archival prints are produced using professional pigment-based inks and premium archival photographic papers selected for their exceptional image reproduction and long-term stability. When properly framed and displayed, these materials offer outstanding resistance to fading and deterioration, allowing collectors to enjoy their artwork for generations.
