The American Serengeti — Prairie and Badlands

The Great Plains and Badlands of America have always captivated me — a landscape of endless horizons, shifting light, and ancient geology sculpted by wind and time. In this vast, untamed country, storms roll like ocean waves, grasslands ripple beneath the wind, and the bones of the Earth lie exposed beneath skies of unimaginable scale.

The American Serengeti is my visual meditation on these places — a body of work celebrating the quiet majesty and elemental beauty of the prairie and badlands. Here, I’m drawn to the solitude of open spaces, to the language of weather and distance, and to the fragile, enduring balance between land and sky.

Each image in this series was created over years of travel through Montana, the Dakotas, and the deserts of Utah — places where light reveals the land in its purest form. These photographs invite reflection on time, resilience, and the deep serenity that can only be found where wilderness still breathes freely.

All works are available as museum-grade archival pigment prints, metal prints, and acrylic glass face mounts, signed and numbered in limited editions.
