I found this abandoned schoolhouse standing alone on the prairie of western North Dakota — a weathered monument to another time. The structure leaned slightly into the wind, its windows empty, the bell tower silent. As clouds gathered and drifted across the sky, I imagined the voices that once filled these rooms, the echo of lessons and laughter carried out into the endless grasslands.
Prairie Relic is a meditation on memory and endurance — how the human presence fades, but the land remembers. Out here, the prairie reclaims what was built upon it, folding history gently back into earth and sky.
Each limited-edition print is produced using museum-grade archival pigment inks on fine cotton rag paper for exquisite tonal detail and depth. Also available as metal prints and acrylic glass face mounts, each edition is signed and numbered, providing collectors with both classic and contemporary display options.
