Whispers of Summer, Eastern Montana

Montana

I made this image on a calm evening along the high plains of eastern Montana. The wind had settled, and the last light of day washed over the wild barley, revealing a shimmer of greens, violets, and soft golds. I was drawn to the quiet movement — how each stalk caught the light differently, how the air itself seemed to breathe through the grass.

Whispers of Summer reflects the gentler spirit of the prairie, where beauty lives not in drama but in rhythm — in the subtle interplay of color, motion, and light. In these moments, I find peace in simplicity and connection to the land’s quiet endurance.

Each limited-edition print is crafted with museum-grade archival pigment inks on fine cotton rag paper for exceptional tonal nuance and longevity. Also available as metal prints and acrylic glass face mounts, each piece is signed and numbered, offering collectors a choice between classic and contemporary presentation.

This work is part of my ongoing series The American Serengeti – Prairie and Badlands, a fine-art collection honoring the vast beauty and atmospheric subtleties of the Great Plains.
