Nestled on the Georgia coast, between Savanah, Georgia & Jacksonville, Fl, are four barrier islands: St. Simons, Sea Island, Jekyll Island and Cumberland Island. Pristine stretches of marshland, punctuated by small islands known as hammocks, define the breathtaking landscape and create the appearance of a continuous stretch of land reaching out to the barrier islands.
This four night, five day workshop will explore and photograph beaches, driftwood skeletons, Live Oaks trapped with hanging mosses, historic downtown Savanah, Old Forts and a day trip over to Cumberland Island National Seashore. There will also be daily classes conducted at our hotel in Brunswick, GA where Joe will be giving lectures on composition, use of natural light and other photographic techniques and philosophies. Joe will also teach you his development techniques & workflow in both Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop. Clients will be able to submit images each day for critique as well. On the last morning of the workshop, we will be in class going over the fundamentals of inkjet printing and finally each participant will be able to create their own one of a kind fine art print (12x18 inches) to take back home with them.
Locations we will visit over the workshop:
- Jekyll Island - Driftwood Beach
- Historic Downtown Savanah
- Cumberland Island National Seashore
- St. Simons Island Lighthouse Museum
- Fort Fredrick Island
- Wormsloe Plantation
