Overview
This four day workshop will focus on a mix of classroom and field shooting based out of Canaan Valley Confrence Center in the mountains of West Virginia. Over the course of four days you will learn three primary skill sets: capturing and recording the best quality images in RAW format, developing your images using both Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop & sharpwening for print, soft proffing for accurate color and tone and printing fine art prints with a state of the art inkjet printer.
Joseph will be taking you out into the field over these four days to so you can learn how to record the best possible images with excelkent sharpness and exposure and we will visit excelent locations such as Bear Rocks for sunrise, photograph several amazing waterfalls and canyon vistas.
We will be in class for many hours each day going over all of the fundementals mentioned above. On the final day of the workshop, each participant will produce a beautiful Fine Art print of one of thier images photographed over the workshop to take home and have framed and proudly hung on the wall.

Lodging Details

Difficulty
Easy to moderate: There will be no hikes more than 1/2 mile in total length and most shooting locations will be short walks from the parking lots. We will need to scramble down and up a couple steep embankmaents to photograph waterfalls.
Workshop Itinerary
Day One - We will kick off the workshop at 4pm in the classroom of the Canaan Valley Lodge & Resort where Joseph will be giving lectures on setting up your camera, best equipment for landscape photography and a slide presentation showcasing images and the techniques, both technically and artistcly.
Day Two - Sunrise morning shoot (approximately 3 hours), break for brunch, classroom from 1-5pm covering capture and photography techniques, evening sunset session.
Day Three - Morning shoot at two of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region, break for brunch and a nap, afternoon classroom from 1-5pm focusing on professionally processing your images, evening sunset shoot.
Day Four - Breakfast as a group starting at 8am followed by classrtoom from 10 - 3pm covering printing techniques and princiapls as well as finally printing each participantys image. Workshop conclundes after class.
