Badlands National Park is one of the most unique landscapes I have photographed, and I’ve been too many an amazing location over the course of 20 years of wilderness photography. The varied tones, textures and shapes make this a prime location for amazing wide angle landscapes as well as stacked telephoto compositions focusing on shape, texture and light. In late May we may even have the chance to capture dramatic thunderstorms and lightning across the landscape as storms often work their way across the prairie.
