Where Winter Begins captures a fleeting threshold — the moment when autumn’s final breath meets the first stillness of winter. Two fallen leaves, cradled in a delicate rim of ice, float at the edge of frozen water and warm desert stone. Soft amber light moves across the surface, illuminating crystalline textures and revealing a gentle dialogue between cold and warmth, motion and rest.
This intimate desert study transforms a simple natural detail into a meditation on transition and impermanence. The ice forms intricate lace around the leaves while subtle tonal shifts of copper, violet, and blue echo the slow changing of seasons.
