Dogwood Dance

Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee

The use of ICM (intentional camera movement) is not only a real fun technique to play with, but when executed properly can give an image the feeling of an abstract paining. I often use this technique when photographing forest scenes not unlike the one above. These Dogwood tree's captured my attention and I spent a couple hours photographing them in different lighting conditions, trying different perspectives and finally using this technique to create an image that is far more abstract in presentation and technique.
