Nature & Landscape Photography Retreats

Capture ~ Process ~ Print

The nature and landscape photography retreat is somewhat like a photography workshop, however with much more focus on your path as a creative photographer. Each Retreat will offer focused classroom sessions on technique, style and creative use of the medium, photography assignments for the week, spirited daily critique sessions, lessons on developing & printing your images and in field locations that inspire.

All retreats are at least 6 days long and each day will be filled with a mix of in field instruction and classroom instruction. Each participant will also receive 2 hours of post retreat online mentoring to continue to help them refine their vision and technique as well follow up on image critiques and post processing assistance of their images from the outing.

Before each retreat, the participant will be scheduled to meet online with Joe for a one hour session to go over the logistics of the retreat, the gear needed, portfolio review and answer any questions.

You will also receive a Pdf handbook covering essential techniques such as composition, use of light, the best gear, using filters, metering for perfect exposure, depth-of-field, focus bracketing and more. Participants will also receive a two hour video covering his personal approach to developing landscape images in Lightroom and photoshop.
