Q: How Advanced Do I Need To Be?

A: Anyone will find our workshops to be a great learning experience. Our participants vary from intermediate to advanced amateur and semi-pro. You should, however, be familiar with your equipment and its operation. Always bring you camera manual and any notes or books you have been studying.

Q: What Kind And How Much Equipment Should I Bring?

A:We'll send you a checklist approximately 30 days before your event. But briefly, we believe lenses in the wide-angle to moderate telephoto range will be most useful. Some way to do close-ups is recommended as well. While we may not do a lot of flash photography, if you have a flash, bring it. Bring lots of memory cards, extra batteries, and a sturdy tripod is a must! We will send you a recommended list of equipment once you register for the workshop of your choice.

Q: What Will I Learn?

A:We teach state of the art digital photography techniques with an emphasis on advanced composition, use of natural light, capturing drama and mood, using filters to enhance the image, advancing personal style, location scouting and digital darkroom processing in both Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop

Q: Is Transportation Provided?

A:Unless listed in the workshop description, each participant is responsible for his/her own transportation. However, car-pooling during the event is encouraged both to minimize the number of vehicles at shooting locations and to get to know one another.

Q: How Should I Dress?

A:Come prepared for anything and bring an extra layer of warm clothes when working at higher altitudes or in cooler climates. Gortex boots, warm gloves and a hat are essential to stay dry, warm and comfortable while in the field. If you have Internet access, check the weather forecast at www.intellicast.com before you leave home.

Q: Does Weather Ever Alter Events?

A:Only if there is an element of danger. Often times "bad weather" makes for the most dramatic light possible. We shoot until mother nature allows no more! And in the event we can’t be in the field taking amazing photos, we will have classroom session with informative lectures, post processing training and image critiques until we can get back in the field and continue making amazing photographs.

Q:What’s Included In My Tuition?

A:Tuition includes instruction, guiding, software training and critiques of your digital files during our classroom sessions. Travel costs, lodging, entrance fees, and meals are not included in the cost of workshop unless specified.
