Arches, Canyonlands & Badlands: A week exploring and photographing some of Utah's most mazing desert scenery

I just returned home from 8 days of photography, exploration and leading a photo tour in Moab & Hanksville, Utah. Winter in the Canyons is a special time of the year for me to experience these locations. the mix of red rock, snowy mountains, ice and light is sublime. Throw in the almost absolute lack of any tourism and the solitude afforded even at iconic locations makes for winter a favorite time to visit Moab and the surrounding area. this was our fourth consecutive year leading a workshop over the winter and I can’t wait to get back again next winter. Always a favorite venue of mine! below are a few of my favorite images from the trip that I have so far been able to process. I will have a few more coming out in the next week, so make sure you stay tuned to my social media pages for those nerf releases.

If your interested in exploring the amazing red rock landscape of Moab and Hanksville next winter, we just released our 2020 dates. Follow this link for more details ad the register - Red Rock Winter Landscape Photography Workshop
