I have been visiting Zion National Park for over twenty years now and still find myself fascinated with this place. Zion is a land of towering sandstone cliffs, deep slot canyons, cottonwood lined rivers, rugged sandstone mesas and slick rock expanses. Zion National Park is special at anytime of the year, but I love to visit and photograph in the park during the autumn when the Cottonwoods and Maples turn a fiery autumn hue and in winter when visitation is at its lowest of then year and the canyons ice up and fresh snow covers the tops of Zion's high stone peaks.
