Join Joe Rossbach & Peter Coskun for an amazing Death Valley Landscape Photography Workshop taking place in December of 2019 in Death Valley National Park. Death Valley, a landscape of extremes. From the highest point in the lower 48 states, Mount Whitney to the lowest, driest and hottest place in North America, Badwater Basin, this workshop will visit some of California’s most spectacular scenery from massive sand dunes, alien like playa's, granite arches, multi-colored badlands and rugged mountain ranges reaching towards the heavens.

We will be traveling around Death Valley National Park and Joe & Peter will be there every step of the way with expert guidance in the best locations during the best light, helping you along your creative and technical journey towards amazing images.

Death Valley Landscape Photography Workshop ITINERARY

Day 1: Meet and greet and at 2pm in Stovepipe Wells, Death Valley N.P. Afternoon/sunset shoot in the park.

Day 2: Sunrise/morning shoot (approximately 4 hours field session), sunset field session (approximately 3 hours in the field). Afternoon Critiques and Photo Processing Classes.

Day 3: Sunrise/morning shoot (approximately 4 hours field session), sunset field session (approximately 3 hours in the field). Afternoon Critiques and Photo Processing Classes. Workshop ends after sunset.

ACCOMMODATIONS & TRAVEL

The nearest airport is Las Vegas International Airport. The drive from Las Vegas Airport to Furnace Creek, CA is approximately 2.5 hours

Any standard rental will suffice for this workshop as we will be traveling paved park roads and some well maintained park gravel roads. We will establish a carpool at the beginning of the workshop.

BOOKING

A non-refundable deposit of 300.00 USD is required to secure a space on this workshop. Final payment is due 60 days prior to the start of this workshop. There is no refund after the final payment has been made (unless we can fill your spot). Please see our cancellation policy for more detailed information.

PHYSICAL DIFFICULTY

There will be no strenuous hiking involved during the Death Valley Landscape Photography Workshop and most locations will be close to the road. Some locations, however may involve a short hike of 1 mile with no serious elevation gains. We will be spending a lot of time outdoors shooting in winter conditions. Daytime temperatures in the desert during winter can vary quite widely. It’s imperative that participants be prepared for outdoor winter recreation, lots of warm layers, hats, mittens, good outerwear and warm boots are a must. A modest level of health and fitness will greatly enhance your experience.
