Charleston Low Country Photo Tour/Workshop

Charleston is a beautiful southern city sitting on the coast. Over this workshop we will shoot the Magnolia Plantation, Bald Cypress swamps, ancient Live Oaks draped in moss, the bone yard of skeleton trees on Edisto Island, Folly Beach and old city architecture. As with all of our workshops there will be ample field instruction, classroom critiques, software training and composition and field technique lectures.

On each morning we will be u well before dawn in order to capture the sun rising over the Atlantic Ocean from several great locations including at least two trips to the Boneyard Beach where we will be able to shoot the dead skeleton trees and surf crashing around them. We will also be spending a considerable amount of time exploring and shooting beautiful and famous Magnolia Gardens where we will have a chance to shoot Live Oaks, blooming Azaleas, Lilly Pads, Swamp Reflections and bursting spring blooms of the low country woodlands and gardens.

In addition to these great places, Joe will arrange an outing to a private swamp reserve before the public arrives to photograph one of the south’s most beautiful and wild cypress swamps in South Carolina. We will also spend time shooting some of the historic architecture of downtown Charleston historic district as well as a trip to photograph Angel Oak, the wolds largest and oldest Oak Tree.
