New Work From Ricketts Glen and OP Article This Month
May 14th, 2013
This past weekend I spent some time in Ricketts Glen State Park, one of the premier locations ion the US for waterfall photography. The conditions this spring are epic in the park with an amazing flow, vibrant spring greens. flowering tree’s and a remarkably clean stream free of debris! I hiked all day Saturday shooting in some challenging conditions from pouring down rain to bright sunshine. On Sunday I led a workshop down into the falls and it was a great group to work with.
The images here represent my favorites from the weekend. If you have a chance to get away and want to shoot some amazing waterfalls and streams, go to Ricketts ASAP while the conditions are still prime. In other news, I image and brief write up on shooting in Rocky Mountain National Park was published in this months addition of Outdoor Photographer Magazine along with a few other well know and celebrated professional nature photographers. If you get the magazine great, but if not here is a link to the article online – http://www.outdoorphotographer.com/how-to/shooting/pro-tips-for-summer-hot-spots.htmlI. ‘ll do my best to share some new work and field reports over the next couple of weeks while I am in the Pacific Northwest, but I will be camping the majority of the time and will have very limited cell and Internet reception. I hope you enjoy these images, thanks for stopping by and please feel free to leave a comment or share this post!
Most of our workshops for the remainder of 2013 are fully booked. We do however have a few spaces available on our Acadia National Park Workshop in June and our Grand Teton National Park Workshop in September.
