This past weekend Ian Plant and myself ran our first (many to come) Photography Bootcamps on Chincoteague Island, VA. This was an intense weekend of instruction, both in the field and classroom. We had a great group of students and some tough but amazing photo ops in the refuge. During the middle of the day on Saturday and Sunday, we spent six hours each day giving classroom presentations on everything from equipment and composition to working in Lightroom and Photoshop.  Below and above are a few images captured while in the field this past weekend. We are looking forward to next months Photo Bootcamp once again in Chincoteage. If anyone is interested in attending, you can find more information and register here on the website - http://www.josephrossbach.com/chincoteague-photo-bootcamp/

Hi! Great pictures! Thanks for sharing! :)
Is it a ocean waves on the last photo? Where it is?

Thank you (and Ian!) for the fantastic weekend! I had a great time, met some wonderful people, and got a lot of new insights into how to think a bit differently. It was a great gift to be able to see how differently you and Ian look thru your lenses, and how gorgeous the results are for both of you! I really love the Twilight Flight shot above! You are a masterful photographer and instructor!

  3. Thank you Cathleen! It was a pleasure working with you and all of the other wonderful photographers this past weekend.

Nice work Joe. I noticed you have both the D800 and D800e. Any advise on which one to buy if you can only buy one of them? I will be using for wildlife and landscapes mostly.
