THE DESTINATION

Iceland is an island country located just south of the Arctic Circle in the North Atlantic. It’s about the size of the state of Kentucky, but with only a fraction of the population. Natural features include many glaciers, volcanoes, mountains, sheer rock cliffs, pristine black sand beaches, roaring waterfalls, and much more. Wildlife opportunities includes whales, seals, reindeer, fox, puffins, shorebirds, various waterfowl, raptors, and the ever-present iconic Icelandic ponies.

Iceland in July receives about 20 hours of daylight every day. The “golden hour” often stretches into golden hours. It’s famed epic light combined with the country’s amazing natural features and wildlife make it a photographer’s dream – a true bucket list destination.
