Very nice! I guess if you don't get a spectacular sunset because it's mostly clear, but you wait it out, you get star trails. Makes a great case for being the last man on the mountain.

Beautiful shots Joe! I do like seeing work from back east, because as you say you don't see so many identical icon shots, and it seems like you photographers out there have to be more creative and better at seeing beyond the obvious. But I will point out that in over five years of pretty serious landscape photography in the Rocky Mountain states, I have still never yet shot a scene with another photographer present. But I gravitate to out-of-the-way spots and usually work away from roads. If you subtract car-accessible locations in the national parks and a handful of other icons, the west is by no means over-photographed. I have an ever-lengthening list of beautiful places to shoot from which I've never seen a quality photo.

Great approach and incredible photography. It's so important to find places that resonate with your own spirit, your own song. Singing along with the landscape is a difficult thing to do... you do it beautifully.

These are all excellent shots, but I think the second one of the tree in the fog is my favorite. Thanks for sharing!

I share your view... I believe there are untold numbers of world class images yet uncaptured here in the USA. You can only find them in out of the way places where few photographers go.

My only hope is that I may someday convey them as well as you do.
